A Look At Government - Study Unit The purpose of this study unit is to provide students a real life look into the workings of government during a crisis situation. Students will be immersed in the rapid decision-making process of events that simulate March 30, 1981, Near-Assassination of President Ronald Reagan. All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002 celebrated the important role animals played in the Executive Mansion. The highlights included indigenous bird ornaments designed by artists from around the country, replicas of First Family pets that were displayed throughout the White House, and the first edition of Barney cam, a much loved tradition during the President and Mrs. Bush’s years in Washington, D.C.
