This series consists of materials pertaining to education. Materials are divided into subseries based on their subject matter and arranged by alphanumeric subcode and thereunder by case file number. ED (Education) includes memoranda, news clippings, correspondence, publications, proposed legislation, speeches (and drafts thereof), talking points, reports, and fact sheets. The correspondence present is between President George W. Bush, Congress, and the general public regarding George W. Bush administration education policy.

This series of records primarily contains correspondence, published articles, printouts from LexisNexis, printed emails, routing memos, FOIA requests and notifications, court filings, bills, and books. Correspondence predominately includes incoming mail routed to or addressed to Kavanaugh regarding legal issues, copies of correspondence between the White House and various agencies and Congress, and routine responses from Kavanaugh. Prominent themes represented within these records include anti-terrorism legislation, access to presidential records, judicial appointments, and tort reform.

All Creatures Great and Small: Christmas at the White House 2002 celebrated the important role animals played in the Executive Mansion. The highlights included indigenous bird ornaments designed by artists from around the country, replicas of First Family pets that were displayed throughout the White House, and the first edition of Barney cam, a much loved tradition during the President and Mrs. Bush’s years in Washington, D.C.
